Creating Snapchat filters is one of the many freelance projects I like to experiment with. If it’s for a special event, representing a community through art, or just for fun, creating Geofilters is a great way that I try to continue to adapt and follow popular media trends.

Lincoln Park

The Lincoln Park Snapchat Community Filter was the first filter I have ever created. When first considering the idea of creating a geofilter, I thought, what a better way to start off than by creating one for my own community. By using Adobe Illustrator, I was able to create something that is unique to the city of Lincoln Park by incorporating its city colors and signifying a simple, yet clear geopoint that I am glad to say is still live on Snapchat today.

When creating this geofilter for a client's quinceañera, I prioritized to incorporate the client’s color and event theme into the design. To keep things consistent, per request, I used aspects from the client's invitation into my design with the help of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
